Dr. Péter Balogh (Associate Professor, Department of Immunology and Biotechnology) has been awarded a 2-year research grant from the Broad Foundation, Los Angeles, CA, for studying the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel diseases. The research aim of the support (first awarded to an applicant from Central Europe) is a joint experimental-clinical investigation using novel animal models for a better understanding of these illnesses.
The collaboration includes Dr. Áron Vincze (Associate Professor, 1st Department of Internal Medicine) and Dr. Zoltán Kellermayer (PhD student, Department of Immunology and Biotechnology).
