Tematika

The aim of the course is to demonstrate and pratice up-to-date ear surgical methods on human cadaveric temporal bones.

  • 1. Demonstration of the basic anatomy of the human temporal bone
  • 2. Preparation for dissection
  • 3. Microscopic ear examination, myringotomy, ventilation tube insertion
  • 4. Demonstration of a fully dissected temporal bone in details
  • 5. Demonstration and practice of myringoplasty, temporal fascia insertion
  • 6. Demonstration of mastoidectomy
  • 7. Mastoidectomy performed by the students
  • 8. Mastoidectomy performed by the students
  • 9. Demonstration and practice of posterior tympanotomy and cochlear implantation
  • 10. Practice of posterior tympanotomy and cochlear implantation
  • 11. Canal wall down tympanoplasty, dissection of a radical cavity
